was just wondering if i need a lamba sensor on my nova its a 1.4 spi engine in the car.used to be a 1l the cars g reg im running a 4 branch manifold on it so havnt got one on it.just wondered if i need it for mot or doesnt it make a diffrence the car runs fine
well, an emissions test will decide.... but surely you mot'd it after the engine swap???

no havnt had a mot on it yet.do they do an emissions test on the older cars cant rember or is it just a co2 reading
Yes you will need one mate the engines designed to have one fitted you may have to extend the wire down the back of the engine though and weld a lambda thread into the back of the manifold as thats what i had to do to mine when i fitted a 4-branch to my 1.2spi.

take it i will need a cat then as my exhuast is straight thru no silencer or nothing
the engine was redesigned in a hurry cos of emissions law to have one fitted....
as for the cat, it depends on the mot man
