I havnt seen the ebay ad but i am 90% sure 12 months ago a guy i know phoned me up asking about a Y reg nova that was for sale on ebay and he wanted to buy it just for the reg. Im sure that was the reg (was located in liverpool though) as he said it said something likes Jav's toy. i just laughed at him saying who the fcuk would buy that reg.

£255 is too much already. Its a clocked (misaligned dash numbers and no SH!) old rusty 1.2 which looks like its had front end damage (ill fitting bonnet and bent number plate) and TWOC damage (new door - wrong wing mirror - and damage to ignition mechanism). Also no pics of arches, rear panels or underside of doors.

Hardly worth much at all tbh.

There was a similar one on ebay recently in derbyshire iirc on an A plate and struggled to make £150 and had less miles.

Cant see whats so special about this - looks rough to me - steering column shroud missing/valence rotten/headlight and bonnet misaligned and with 7 previous owners its hardly some rarity.

The moss green 3dr hatch that had a buy it now of £150 was a better bet in my mind - its just that this is on a Y plate that stimulates interest?!

I am the person that ended up buying this nova as some of you may already know. (RESTORATION WIP) When I saw it on ebay it had a BIN of £500 I contacted the seller and agreed a price of £450 which even without a proper look thought it was a good price to pay.

So far I have replaced cross member and headlight panels and will be doing battery tray and one of the rear arch corners. Apart from that the car is really clean.

I have also spoken to Steve (Duik) about the age and my Nova is the 6902th Corsa / Nova built, means it was built in the 1st half of October 1982!!! so may be the oldest nova or one of the oldest Nova's left in the UK!!!!

Any way just thought id post a reply seen as though its my car lol - can't believe I didn't see this thread before????

He contacted me about the car and asked for my chassi number which i sent him and that is what he told me. He also told me what all the codes ment on my vin plate
