MK2 mondeo ball joint

Has anybody ever replace a mk3 mondeo ball joint?

Do you have to drill the old one off? :confused:

Done a mk2, but replaced the whole lower arm. If I remember rightly the whole arm was only a few pounds more then just the ball joint. You can drill the old one out but getting the right sized rivits and a gun to do so will probably out weigh buying the whole arm*. Unsure on the mk3, but I'd imagine its the same design. May be worth asking 'welsh Dan' I believe he runs a mk3 now.

* unless you nut and bolt it.

iirc the lower arms dont last long if you drive it hard so i vote new arm/ balljoint.
