would you put any internal bracing in them??

As in, in the "cavity" of the lower arm kinda thing?

*cavity left once a plate is welded onto arm so to speak.

Er, never really thought it like that actually?

I imagine they would, but if the arm is to strong, if you prang a kerb or something the arm wont bend but the chassis itself might/will. Possibly. lol

Use corsa ones, there already strengthened and not to expensive. Roughly £40 for the pair new:thumb:

surely if you hit a kerb too hard, rather than bending the chassis, you'd just bump up the kerb...unless of course your prone to it lol

No it would transfer more impact into the body shell, but if you are hitting a kerb/wall anyway.............

They flex a lot without the plate, so traction suffers a tad. Do it FTW, simple mod. I have a template if anyone requires it.

hmm traction is probably a bigger issue for me than anything else anyway tbh, template would be a great help:thumb:

I'll have to scan it in with a scale. I just drew round my plates when I got them for future use, as its silly to buy them, alternatively just draw round your arms, then drill or mark the 2 holes above the ball joint bolts.
