Ask Matt brown, he'll tell you.

there are a few but if the shell has been registered you have to legaly leave it on the mk1 plates if you put the mk2 plates on it its ringing and highly illegal

Only real differences are the MK2's were made from lower quality steel, and they seemed to slop on a damn site more seam sealer as well.

the slam panel is slightly different as my mk2 grille clips never lined up with my mk1 holes on the front edge.

seat belt mounts on b pillar are different, mk1s have a crease in the inner wing tailgate on early ones are different

Early Mk1's have a crease on the inner wing and early Mk1's have the VIN plates sitting straight instead of angled

Late Mk1 and Mk2 Nova shells are pretty much the same though

your inner trims that will run up the pillars will not fit unless you make holes and squares to take the clips for the stuff from a mk2 !

Theres lots of small differences, but nothing major. Just keep all the mk1 trim (seatbelts etc).

my b reg has different rear seat brackets (the bits that mount on top of inner arch and hold the part that secures rear seat back in position) - smaller than my G reg

It also (as mentioned above) appears to be better grade steel than my later ones
