Ecu?

All hoses and leads ok?

12v at the pump?

All electrical connections clean?

I would try a known working XE fuel pump relay

crank sensor aswell, would a fuel pump relay failure knock out the ign?

id say try the crank angle sensor pal.

Yep iirc it controls spark too

-ecu
-crank sensor

afaik a fuel relais doesnt cut the ignition.
my guess is that the wire from the crank sensor hit the alternator fan :)
you cant fix that wire, you need a new sensor.

My first look would be crank sensor. Is the ecu light on with ignition??
