Shift Light System

Is there a cheapo shift light system anyone knows about as I have a mate who's joining me autotesting this year, but he's used to a corsa with a limiter so would rather have a light to remind him.

Was thinking just wire in a contact in the rev counter on the needle and on the face which completes a circuit and light comes one, very simple and would be effective.

ive just bought a autogauge rev counter with shift light 4 wires and hey presto!

want something a bit more discrete than those autogauge ones though
