since the i have riped that vile sunstrip off and that back bumper and replaced it with a standard one.i got rid of the blue sr seats and replaced with some nice red ones and some new carpet

i have als changed the front end because i have always loved the mk2

Looks like good base to start with mate. What year is it again its just the engine looks like an spi lump?

no they was some crap fake leather stuff they didnt even have grab handles to close the door

It must have had the wiring loom replaced at some point then mate to run that engine as the spi wirings integrated into the loom but as long as it runs fine dont worry.

ye it had all the wiring done and it had the fuel tank done as well.hopefully getting a respay in the summer not sure what color yet probaly the same

Great progress especially as you're de-chavving it. What plans you got for it?

my plans are get her resprayed but some standard mk2 bumpers on not painted tho and maybe a normal boot not sure on that tho.going to take the engine out and put a cam in it i think and a good service

yeah they are getting on a bit just tryin to find a new boots the hardest.ive put a standard back bumper on it now will get a pick up soon
