mmm, as standard about 105mph, with a few mods 115

Thats the national speed limit. and what does it matter what the top speed is anyway?
and a few mods will not get you an extra 10mph, speedos above 80 are completely out so you will never see an accurate figure, all the bullshitfigures you see are because of inaccuracy.

ok, well here we go :
standard on flat, bout 105.
standard down hill had 126!
with a weber 32/34 carb 112 on flat and 130 down the hill !! beat that.

A 1.3SR will go as fast a you want/modify it to go. You can have flames coming out the exahust if you really want (although speaking from experience, I dont reccomend it inside a garage). As Ian says tho, it will do 70 and thats all you need. It will transport you to that figure quicker the more mods you do to it, but as standard, about 10/11/12 seconds (depending on how thrashed/heavy the car is) and travel happily over a ton.

By the way, if you wanna have a laugh, jam open the second butterfly and drive up a motorway.
