Who do you know who owned the GTE?

My brother bought back in 2008 and sold it last year. The guy who bought it was a complete pr!ck. Thought he knew all there was to know about novas, spent money putting the XE in and seam welding the engine bay then sold it for a loss... Completely ruined what was a completely standard unmolested GTE. I'd even rebuilt the engine prior to selling.

This was the day we drove to Poole to collect it!

Im guessing SRI Dave is referring to the fact when we bought the GTE last year it had no brakes (now replaced)broken cheap suspension, (now replaced) loads of rust underneath at the rear which took us days to strip down to bare metal then 5 hours of welding!

That was the reason my brother sold it, he didn't have the time or the money then to rebuild it properly. Hence, why the guy who bought off my brother thought it was the best shell he'd ever seen and wanted to turn it into a C20let track car... lol

Saying that, credit to yourselves, you've done a alot of work by the looks of things! And it's a good spec!

yea the guy who put the xe in it was into his impreza's he said, and it was an old friend that bought it NOT ME.

sorry if iv upset anyone from what i originally said, what i knew about the car was it needed welding and from the pictures it has been delt with very well.
