sprinters are very good... but ask if the injectors have been done recently.. if no, then run, forrest, run.. they suffer with blow by & they get this tar like residue all over them & it costs a lot to fix cos you can wreck the injectors & the cam cover fixing it

Yep stay away from vivaro/traffics/and whatever the nissan varient is. Our traffic is at 80k and is on its second gearbox. This one wont go into first whilst its moving... pain in the **** at junctions. IMHO theres alot to be said for an old transit!

^ As above they suffer from epic gearbox failure (80mph the gearbox died suddenly taking the clutch and flywheel with it), But it was replaced and its done many miles since, seems to be about 80-100k they fail.

They are cheap though, and they dont seem to fall apart, but people like to nick the centre caps off the wheels.

Dude they are funking awesome.

Auto with a bench seat in the front!

Means you can sit on the pass side with ya leg a cross and drive it.. I did. So much fun!

So of them have air ride too. Loads of fun on the bumps.

Transits fuel pumps **** their pants and its expensive, they rot badly aswell.
Vivaro/renault bollocks are good til the box go
Sprinters are fast rotboxes
LDV's are dog muck

Avoid anything vauxhall like the plague imo! I worked for vauxhall for over 7 years, trust me they're shi*e! I'd go for a tranny or a high roof connect. My mate is a plasterer and can fit the big boards in his connect(sorry don't know the size) in with the pass front seat removed. 1.3 combo is a fiat engine, need i say more? 1.7 combo is the common rail isuzu engine, equally as shi*!

well ive got an 04 vivaro on 120000 miles and it hasnt had a gearbox yet!!put a new engine in tho as turbo went.i think its the early vivaros gearboxs that are sĀ£ite

John

The combo is ok tbf, justthe engine let them down. the 1.3 is underpowered, eats egr valves, dual mass flywheels and clutches etc etc. The 1.7 is noisy and unrefined imo, leaks lots of oil too.

The pass seat on a connect just clips out, tis quite neat!

tbh, the old smiley face transit was, and will ever be the greatest workhorse of the lot.

1. big simple engine
2. tons of room
3. millions made so tons of spares..

just avoid one with a noisy diff.. it will need a replacement axle.

That be a T220, same as what we have.

The pass seats flips down an doubles as a coffee table too lol very reliable, 90PS engine, more then quick enough. Oh an ST rims fit on them a treat
