Wet drivers foot well

I've noticed in the last couple of days that the drivers foot well is soaked with water. The water seems to be really saturated next to the gear stick area.

Any idea's what is to cause this? By the way the car hasn't moved for a couple of months.

Have you got a sunroof? Obvious question lol

Check all the seals in the car and have a look under the battery etc for holes for water to get in through

as said, battery tray, sunroof. if you have replaced the windscreen recently it could be coming through the rubber.

battery tray if rusty? the rubber gromet in battery tray? sunroof ? door seal ?

Or inner arch to bulkhead area, Pull the carpet back and have a look up behind the pedals and under the dash area and you'll no doubt found out where from. That or battery tray, sunroof, windscreen rubber as said.

Is the carpet soaked further forward too?

exactly the same porblem in mine!lifted the battery out a rusted spot around where the clamp is.
ill put my money on it being this(rot in the battery tray)

No it just seems to be soaked towards the back area towards the seat. I've checked the sunroof and the windscreen and to be honest i cant see it being any of them because there not exactly in line if the drips fall straight down?

I've just resealed both of the door rubbers. The battery tray seems fine but i will take the battery out and have a proper look.

I just went outside. took the battery out and realised on closer inspection there seemed to be some patch repair work in the past. I was just poking around and this happened :mad:

There didn't seem to be a hole before but prob still the reason why the footwell was wet maybe?

Very possible that is your problem, it always sucks to find a bodged repair

they go from each corner of the sun roof look near your rear lights you will see some rubber pipes that go through the floor the go up the pillars and to the back corners of the sun roof think there are some to the front but not sure from memory its a long time since i striped my old gte down for the rebuild now
