It was going to cost me £300 to get my old Ibiza chipped, would be easier and cheaper to 4 branch it, K&N, uprated exhaust, etc, presuming you've not done that or are you trying to be sneaky with your engine mods?

Proper porting and polishing is a very long process, alot of people seem to think you just get a Dremel and quickly run over the ports with it but its not quite as simple as that.

My old work used to charge a fortune for porting & polishing because of the man hours it took up and it was a very boring job to do as well lol

As for the ECU it's probably best to leave it, find someone who knows about them or buy one already done.

Only ECU's worth putting chips in are LET's or new age GM stuff.

Superchips site is £299 for +5bhp on a C16SE motor. Says it all really.

if you want a chip, just get it done at the dyno, not some cheap ebay chip you know nothing about.

chipping a GM N/A is like pissing in the wind
