Cage mounts

In the process of fitting my Pilbeam cage and considering a few options regarding welding in the mounts for the main hoop.

Would the below option be safe?

Thinking in terms of 'strong triangles' this seems a good design using the sill rather than floor, however, would it create too much pressure at the point in the case of impact?

Hmm, it may have a tendancy to "fold down" towards the floor should pressure be put on the cage top section (i.e. car on its roof)

Were you planning on filling the ends? If you get me, or leaving it open like it is now??

the trianglulations would work if you welded it is, as you've got it and then welded a plated on the end. If not weld it vertically to the floor.

Yeah a plate will be welded on the end too
