wheels rubbing on coilovers

Just fitted a set of fk coilovers on the front end today and my drivers side wheel is rubbing on the spring.

Whats the best option, spacers?

The car is on speedline alessios :thumb:

Oreyt mate yea you will have to run 5mm spacers on them speedlines are known for rubbing on the spring of coilovers.:thumb:

Shorter springs and wind the platforms up

I had the same problem on Caesaros... 5mm spacers on the front. But as Ad said, ideal is run shorter springs.

Id do anything to avoid running spacers tbh.

have the got elongated holes? to adjust the camber.

if so then pull the hub position out, away from the spring.

if not shorter spring is the best method.

I'm trying to find springs for Spax coilovers, need alot higher poundage! Struggling to find the right diameter.

Only Spax will sell them mate!!! As they use a rare size spring.

I spent hours searching the other night and came acros nothing, came that conclusion sadly. Was thinking about running different platforms.

Let me know how you get on with spax mate i need higher poundage springs also for mine with it being an xe conversion so shorter springs might help, Passenger side doesnt touch but the drivers does :(

as sridave said it will probably be the camber that needs setting, i had the same problem with my coilovers

I have the adjustable camber bolt hole so i will try that first then if it doesnt work shorter springs it is then lol

Fk have camber slotted holes, pull them out, then get the tracking and camber set up, but keeping the tyre away from the tyre.

Or shorter springs. Do anything you can to not run spacer!

Yea thats the guy! he did lowered my Vts ages ago, i have been to donny/trax with him and the bttos (back to the old skool) lot a couple of good times:)
