Anyone got a distributor for a 1.2 OHC ideally around Sheffield area, but willing to travel, could do with it for this weekend.

Thanks for the offer, but this engine has done less than 30k from new but it's only doing 20-25 to the gallon, we're told it's the adv/ret in the distributor but I'm sceptical.

i dont think it makes that much difference to mpg, fairly sure mines fecked and mpg seems prety normal.

u checked the condition of the plugs to see how its fueling ?
choke might be sticking on and need cleaning/lubing/setting up.

That's what I thought but a mate of the lads who's had many Nova's reckons that's the problem so I figured start with that. It does seem a bit far fetched to me but you never know.

I've got a few dizzies for sale in my smallblock thread (http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=140305). Let me know if any of them are any use to you?

Unfortunately I don;t think any are suitable.

you can buy the advance/retard diphram from vauxhall or a motor factors, and they arnt too bad to install. from what i remember, i bought a genuine vaux one a few years back for around £15

We called round at local Vauxhall dealer they want £55+vodka for the part!

We've been playing with the timing & it now looks like that maybe the main issue, has anyone got a HBOL & can tell me what the timing should be set at please.
