also if it helps my rear seat is complte not 2 sections so its still secured in only by one
Take rear seats and belts out, then you could curl one out in the back and it's none of the testers concern.

it will void my insurance thought waint it?
Aye, and the log book.
Not half as much as wrapping the car and then it being found to have only one seat bracket and some cable ties holding the rear bench in though!
It needs to be removed for the MOT.

Hmm what a **** pointless comment was only wondering would have saved me pising about weldin one back in!
I'm more worried about the people unfortunate enough to be in the back of your car mate - who incidentally would probably kill you too if it all went pear shaped.
It needs either fixing or removing completely, not just for the MOT.
Yes drill off one from another shell and weld it to yours.
i would fail it for not being secure in an upright position!
but as its a nova id pass and advise! lol

Nah Liam i dont think anyone would be hurt, because the rear seatbelts bolt into the floor and the side of the car chassis, and a person sitting on the rear seat would stop the rear seat from going anywhere in a crash because they'd be held up against it by the seatbelts. the rear bench would be under no stress, only the seatbelts.
Id say, just go to the scrapyard with a drill, take one off a scrapper and spot weld it back into yours, bit of a carry on but it will have to be done.
It's a Nova they'll be torn out or rot through. lol
Cheers for explaiing where belt anchorage points are though... lol

I cant see them voiding your insurance for taking the seats out, its not like you've upgraded anything.
Yes it will fail as theres nothing securing the seat uprights....
Mine failed for not having the 70/30 split bracket on the floor!!!!!!!
