More prob!! knocking noise...

Ive got a knocking noise coming from the drivers side wheel/driveshaft. When I accelerate the noise goes away, yet when I dont have my foot down on the pedal & im just cruising I can hear the knocking noise & it also knocks in between gear changes... :(

It started last night & seems to be gettin worse!! Im thinking its my driveshaft coming loose after I just had a new gearbox? Could it be that or something else? If driveshaft how can I tell its that & how do I fix it?

They say bad luck comes in 3's! Ive had to get a new clutch, & gearbox in the past month now this!

Any help is much appriecated.

know wot u mean about bad luck coming in 3's - I'm still waiting to get my car back after engine dies over 10 days ago!

If youve just ghad gear box fitted, I'd take it back and tell them what youre hearing. Could be worn cv joint - maybe cv boot or summut got damaged/not put back right when box fitted?

yes take it back. Sound like it is a CV joint or boot

Had my friends dad do it for my so cant go back. He sed he will have a look at it over the weekend as he's working, but I still got 2 days & dunno if it will last until then!!

Dont think its my CV boot/joint as it does the knocking noises when when driving in a straight line..

Took my car in the garage at dinner cos was pretty worried! turns out my chasis had spilt under my wheel arch! :o

he's welded it all up now so all's good... for now!!
