ratley knocking noise from the engine

could some one help me with this noise please its a 1.6 8v
It only seems to rattle at about 2500 revs and when i change gear, im pritty sure its not from the gear box tho. its a loud rattle to. the car died a few times at junctions on the way home aswell, im just hoping it isnt the big ends. has any one got any suggestions?

a mate had a similar problem in his corsa 1.4, turned out the crank was funked.

Mine was doing the same thing, turned out to be a snapped rocker, which in turn destroyed no3 piston.get some pics up for you lol
