C25xe thermostat housing

C25xe, replacing thermostat, broken this...

Not broken enough to get it off, which is what we need, any ideas? tried bar & hammer, did not go well.

Also if anyone has a new one locally, would be chuffed to bits.

That hole used to have a bracket on it, now is hole were bracket used to live.

rocker cover off then get a chisel (sp) and a hammer to tap it off

Tried it, there is now a hole were there shouldn't be. needs a new one.

you need to take all the timing gear and covers off to change iirc

the pipe is supposed to come out of the thermostat, it is only held in 2/3 rubber rings, but rarely does, smash the pipe and replace or remove head / timing cover

also to get a new one its about an 11 week wait from vauxhalls as they have to be brought in from germany iirc

Do you know if that comes with the other bit of tapered pipe? that's the bit we snapped, other bit is fine.
