well this my nova gte now fitted with a c20xe when i bought the guy had removed the c20 let that use to be in it. iv been told this was featured in total vauxhall and use to be 400bhp can any1 confirm this? or any1 know any history about the car? if any1 has the total vauxhall mag this was in would they sell it to me ? thanks

Engine bay pics or jog on!
Those tyres could barely put down 100bhp, let alone another 300 on top. Never seen it in TV either. Its a bit plain.

it belonged to a guy called adam phillips??? heres an engine bay pic of it now with the c20xe and the tyres are r888s
im not 100% sure it was 400bhp but iv been told it was thats why im asking if any1 knows the car to confirm this

hmm.. just the engine u mean. was in an orange stripped out track nova that was featured in tv years ago.. oh well.
still the same spec. u say?

Also never seen it. When was the car supposed to have been in tv, it could of been something like the hall of fame page rather than a full feature but I suspect the guy who sold you it has hit this button...

nobody told me when i bought it that it had been in total vauxhall. somebody messaged me saying it use to belong to some1 in his area. the guy never said anything about this when i bought it

I have an old issue of tv that has a red gte with an xe that had a turbo conversion....... From what I can remember the owner was a foreman at a bodyshop down south and courtenay did the conversion iirc. I'll go check my magazine stash for you. Hold off guys he may well have been told correctly!

Ok Ive found the magazine in question......... It is Nov 04. Very hard to miss at its the cover car and has black wheels. originally a H plate it says ????

look at pic 2. it has not had the slam panel cut for the in let pipe to the turbo to fit so it. dosn't look like it had a let in it corect me if i am ronge pleae

You dont need to cut the slam panel fella. There are some clever ways round that. One method inparticular that a few people have used off here including what has been done to my own. ;)

The car/mag Ive metioned (Nov 04) Ran a 12.8 at santa pod using gas and Via an F20 Lee !!!!! I bet that lasted long lol

I take it back then. Guess that could be this car then and the guy finally got fedup of gearbox changes daily and sold it on.

I guess its a possibility! As said above The feature mentions the car being a h plate so I guess the guy who started this thread will have an idea from that if its his car or not etc.

mine had a let in it befor i owned it and ran 12.8. think he may used a f 18 but i dont really no and still has the original chassis leg mount. and say's he never blew a gear box up yet in 15 years of converting novas

all the front panel has been cut where the bonnet catch goes theres a long threaded bolt holding the top of the front panel down so the bonnet dosnt bend up. also i seen the c20let when i was at the guys house as he was using it to put in a white corsa c. it has definetly been a c20let sometime in its life. somebody messaged me saying he knew the car and it was 400bhp or close to i just thought id ask see if any1 knew any history of the car? thanks

might have had a nice eds phase <insert number here> chip...automatically making it 400bhp

The round inlet plenum is what Courtenay use to make on there coverted turbo conversions.
