shes not that bad now but she was terrible for months but the docs put it down to pregnancy in the end she got rushed in for emergency op had part of her bowel removed and the baby wsa delivered 3 months early,
i know shes gonna have to watch her diet but shes worried what she can eat cos she hasnt got to see the specialist for another month and the hospital hasnt told her anything about what she can or cant eat or anything

Surely getting health advice off the hospital/gp is more useful than png!!!

Exactly, so asking questions like "but shes worried what she can eat cos she hasnt got to see the specialist for another month and the hospital hasnt told her anything about what she can or cant eat or anything"

Seems a bit wtf to me!!!
Its a bit like going see your gp and asking what size inlet valves a 1.3sr has

But anyway,a mate of mine has crohns, think his must be a less severe case though, he just gets bloating/occasional stomach pain etc etc

Tell her to get ready for some anal probing.....and if she is lucky there won't be an audience of students.

I know exactly what you're saying mate, but if that was my missus id make sure she rang the gp or whoever, or went to see them asap!!!!

I assume whats ok for one person may not be ok for another either..

Thats it though she lost almost three stone and got really weak only now shes getting over it, on top of that we have one four year old one 13 month old and a new baby 3 months that was born 3 months early and spent 6 weeks in intensive care so its hard to get out and about at the min,

My nan has been ill for years but the docs could never find anything wrong with her and have told her numerous times its all in her head. 2 weeks ago she was rushed to hospital with crippling stomach pains which they decided was her gall bladder. She had to wait over 2 days for a scan. She then demanded a CT in which they discovered it was her appendix. They took her down to surgery to remove it and whilst in there discovered that half her bowels and a chunk of her stomach was disintergrating so they had to remove it. They said that if she hadnt demanded the CT scan she would have been ded from blood poisoning within 3 hours.

They have diagnosed her with Chrons disease now. Moral of this story i think is get her to the doctor for some advice and dont be afraid to get what you want from the doctors when something goes wrong.
