agreed, taking a perfectly good car and treating it to some surface rust and crappy extras does it no good. Ruins a perfectly sellable (is that a word?) car and in the end it will be good for nowt but the scrappy.

Why spend $$$$ on a set of bling wheels and let the rest of the car look like scrag? I thought the origins of rat were with the american guys who spent all their dollar on engines (i.e. the functional stuff) and didn't bother with the look of the car. Spending big money on attention whore wheels goes completely against that!

Yeah it was a lovely looking car with some paint on. It was sort of cool in a Mad max kind of way when 'ratted up' but the interest for me soon wears off after looking at a couple of pics, never mind seeing/owning the thing lol.

No matter how good a 'rat' car looks, which is usually down to a drop and rim choice (not the crap on the roof) it will always look 100 times better with a nice paint job!

I understand the whole reason the rat came about due to people modding purely for performance and just letting the bodywork etc be, but I don't get the fascination of doing the rat look on purpose especially the rats without the performance enhancements that go around nowadays.

To be fair he had his work cut out (literally) replacing the A pillar after the damage. I need to look at the pics, maybe it distorted the roof etc too.

The rebirth is just say better than it being bailed in a scrap yard. lol

Break it, scrap the shell and buy another one. Heck 3 series bimmers are 10 a penny over here, almost certainly more so over in yankland. Not like its anything special.

there are many versions of rat, imo a nova is only good for a hoodride, a proper rat can only be done to bugs or old ratrods.

the VX is heading towards 'rat look' or more to the point, I dont really care as it functions fine and I dont do bodywork look lol

although she will be cleaned up, the damage fixed and a mix of two 'scene' themes because its a funking horny idea that isnt massively overdone in the mix I have in mind :)
