fair bit i think mate, head/inlet/carb, not sure about ignition system compatabilty, might need to change the petrol tank too. lorra hassle for 9 horse, youll be best off keeping it spi and dropping a 1.4 or 1.6 in most probably.

yep tank needs swapping for the carb version, you need a carb head with mechanical pump and to change the fuel lines to suit. inlet and carb need swapping obviously. then im pretty sure the coil and dizzy need swapping for a non-injection type. a lot of work and money for not a lot of gain

just the engine and ECU. the ECU may just connect to the original 1.2i loom but not 100%. i do know that the main wiring and engine looms are NOT separate so these can't be changed easily.

To fit the 1.4/1.6 spi all you need is the ecu the wirings the same for all spi engines but if you got for a 1.6 make sure its not chip an key type as later ones with black rocker cover are.:thumb:

Iknow this as i fitted a 1.6 into my last nova and it went quite well too for 75hp lol.

good choice, nice simple conversion and the gearbox will be a good addition, especially if you get a CR box from an SR. I remember my 1.2i, it was ok but an SR gearbox would have made such an improvement in performance
