This weekend me and my dad set about removing my grandads 1932 Ford model B from its home for the last 11 or so years

My Grandad bought this car back in the 1950's, where he stripped the whole car down to bare metal, rebuilt and repainted the body and chassis, and then used it for pleasure from the 1960's right through to the 1990's/

Unfortunatley in 1999 he passed away due to cancer, and none of us had the heart/courage to set eyes on his car that he loved so much, never mind drive it!

Anyway, before he passed away, he put the car in his garage and covered it up after doing his final drive, and thats where its sat since roughly June 1999

This May coming however, my Uncle is getting married, and hes asked if he can be taken to and from the church in the car (everyone of his brothers and sisters have been as they al got married before he passed away) So me and my dad plan to get it running and MOT'd for then

Just some pictures for you all, as its truley a stunning car

best of luck getting the car ready:thumb: imo it would be far worse to let the car sit and die, keep it alive and all the memories that go with it:)

Lovely story, and a nice vintage.

I love how mid-west American it looks!

We've got a family owned car from 84 (a 56' Austin A30), nothing like the mid 50's though!

Stunning car mate and it looks very clean from them photos. Looks like your grandad took great care for it. I say get it running and use it from time to time.

If it was yours you could go down the hot rod V8 route. But I'd keep it as it is. You never know it might get passed down to you.
