sure your not putting the top shell in the bottom or something silly like that..?
or maybe ordered the wrong ones..?
i oredered them from SBD, theyre heavy duty acl's.
they look the same as the old one's....so surely cant be wrong.
and iv tried them all ways round and everything lol
have you put the rods in the right way round?

hmm sure you've tried every way to put them in like rod side then cap side etc to see if they make any difference in fitting
ok, are the rods specials?? or stock??

The recesses (2nd pic) are the wrong way round.
May be wrong bearings, as i'm sure the rod has the correct cut out for the bearings to sit in.
If the bearings fit in the con-rod the correct way, it should line up with the cut out lug, & the oil gallery which goes to the piston/ guedgeon pin.
The other half of the bearing will not have a lug, the part which bolts the rod to the crank.
Hope this helps
Chris
it seems like i need bearings with the lugs on the other side,(mine are on the right but need to be on the left to suit the rod).
is there such bearings?
p.s. i know im a pain in the ass for asking so many questions all the time.lol

better to ask then sit there and **** things up mate :thumb:
Give the manufacturer/retailer of the rods a ring tomorrow morning, can't see the logic in making them differently though.

I thought the lugs were all the same way round:confused: unless there for a different car altogether.

is it possibly for you to take another picture like the one below so that we can see both ends of the logs. The one below is wrong but is the other end/lug of it correctly slotted in? If so am betting they are wrong :)

Can you not just turn the bearings around ^^^ like turn so the lug is on the left side?
If not i guess they are wrong!
