Without going into a lot of detail (or any detail at all in fact  ):
- Make mdf speaker ring(s) (onto which the subs and etc will bolt on) and a base. Then use mdf spacers i.e. strips of wood to attach the 'top' and 'bottom' of the build.
- Staple/Nail/Screw/Glue a basic structure on the sides out of mesh.
- Cover the mesh sides and etc with fiberglass. Sand into required shape. Use filler to smooth it all over.
- Cover on material of choice, or use wet and dry and prepare as you would to be colourcoded.

I'm planning to make some razor like shapes out of wire mesh and then fibraglass these so to make them look like they are holding my screen in place... do you recon the wire mesh > Chicken Pen Wire method would be a good idea so to make some mad shapes.
I'm planning to make the bay for the Xbox so you don't see the case but i think i'll need to route a air vent away from the heat of amps so would you recommend even bothering putting Xbox in or just a DVD Player seen as i'd need to take Xbox out when its parked outside my house
Cheers lads
To be honest unless you have some knowledge of mold making and working with fibreglass, I wouldnt bother as it can be cheaper to buy off shelf parts than make them.
Saying that though heres a basic outline. The bigger the part the more cost. If the part has undercust or comples shapes that this will also cost more and be more complicated as you need to make multiple part molds.
Alternatively, buy fimo modelling clay (or similar) and make a one off, only works for small parts - then sand, spray.
Its too complicated to truely explain the art of mold making as there are lots of ways depending on the complexity of the piece.
For a basic 1 or 2 part mold have a look at this link -

Gives you an idea - the item could be anything.
Fot boot ice install, fibreglass if good but thin so for subs not really appropriate as sound will escape through skin and it will vibrate. Best thing is to make mdf boxes (mdf is dense so contains sound) - then surround with Fibreglass build.
Recent mag I saw, a guy built the basic shape from mdf but coz of weight, be then covered the master (the build) in polythene, then papier mache, then when mache dry and then laid up fibreglass on the inside which made an exact copy of thre part. He needed to sand though as the ripples in the ploythese were left in the fibreglass but the polythene stopped the papier mache sticking to it.
