View Full Version : What bhp can I expect ????
As title.
13sb engine,
Irmscher injection kit,
inlarged inlet and exhaust valves 1mm,
Piper bp300 cam,
4 branch manifold,
Scorpion exhaust system,
100bhp ? More/less ?
I think 100bhp sounds right, maybe touch more

My last 1300 with 12st pistons to make it 1400 etc, lightened balanced crank and flywheel, grp a head and cam, 4branch manifold and sport back box, with webber downdraft carb was 102bhp at the wheels :)
I'm rebuilding same spec engine with the irmscher injection and mbe management :) would like to see 115.
What happened to supercharger?

omnom to a supercharged sr :P but id say just shy over 100 bhp be wellk worth doing

What happened to supercharger?Supercharger is going on there as well,100%.

It comes down to the cam really, assuming the ign timing is optimised for it etc, then with the charger its a case of wether the cam is any use for forced induction, maybe a GTE cam with less overlap is better? 100ish & 140ish bhp w/charger should be achievable though.
Injection wont give you anymore peak horsepower but it should be better up through the range. Would be better still with a properly mapped set up.

I agree entirely about it being fully mapped for ign & fuelling on standalone management. Far better.

I agree too, but as the charger is 1500 quid i aint got the bucks needed for management.
Plus i feel there is a solution using the standard Irmscher ecu set up.

Aye thats fair enuff. You are going to need a decent FPR & range of injectors to try aswell as a wideband kit so you know which setup & settings give the safest bodge. lol
Before you ask, no I didnt use a wideband. :p
