before you all take the piss you are aware they actually work??? and lots of modern cars now monitor the state of charge of the battery and turn on and off the alternator accordingly??? so as to not waste power and therefore make them more fuel efficient

There spelling is shiite though lol

THIS IS A DIVICE MADE ONLY BY US FOR HARNESING THE ONLY FREE POWER AVAILABLE FROM YOUR ENGINE IT WILL DISCONECT THE CHARGE CIRCUIT OF THE CAR SAFLEY WHEN UNDER ACCELERATION FOR BETWEEN A 4 AND 10 HORSEPOWER INCREASE DEPENDENT ON THE CHARGING STATE OF THE BATTERY AT THE POINT OF ACTUATION IT IS EQIUPPED WITH CHARGE STATE SENSING SO AS NO TO FLATTEN THE BATTERY ALSO A THERMAL OVERLOAD SAFETY CIRCUIT, THE UNIT IS SUPPLIED WITH THE FITTING KIT WHICH ALLOWS FITTING TO ALL VEHICLES VIA TPS,VACUME OR MICRO SWITCH.THIS IS THE ONE OF THE CHEAPEST HORSE POWER INCRESES YOU ARE LIKLEY TO FIND AT LEAST THAT ACCTUALY WORKS.

I'm well aware it works, I read the blurb twice after thinking "not another chip/ecovalve/electric turbo/EDV etc device" lol

Is it really worth £70 though? You'd probably get more power from turning your stereo off for a few minutes. Ooh, that could be amusing if your battery is knackered; foot down hard and the battery dies lol

no you could make something similar much cheaper :D well i could lol

2 twisted wires on top of the dash and pull them apart when you hammer it :thumb:

I'll write a disclaimer later, cba now lol

i'm thinking micro switch & relay plus £3 of wire.. total outlay about a tenner...

I'm going to market a product that tells people how to turn the aircon off for £50 :d

I'm so confused! Is it just me who has noticed that it says free power when it is clearly £70.50!!!lol lol lol lmao

even though it appears by the spelling to be marketed by internet cats, the thing is, that once fitted, it costs nothing in fuel.... as the alternator is not being used to drain power, it makes power for nothing...

its just a practical application of racing technology for road use.

someone did a kit a few years back for racing where if you jumped on the anchors, the alternator came on via a signal for the brake lights to keep it topped up.... sort of pikey kers

but your not turning the alternator 'off' are you. your still going to have the drag off it, all your doing is cutting the power off it to charge the battery

Nooo it says free and it clearly is 70 english pounds and 50pence!!lol
It doesn't say 'will not cost you more in running costs' so therefore i am technically right in what i am saying!!:p !!lol

here we go again....... oxo ads on buses and all that.........

the main reason its free is that you can see how its done & go and do it yourself using bits from your shed, thus its free

Is it a noticeable difference or should it really be reserved for serious race cars and the like?

what, like an alternator regulator???

seriously though, its all the ancillary items that draw the electricity, like heaters, lights etc.. with them off, and a charged battery, isn't the alternator 'turned off'

to run this type of device, it really only needs a switch set at max throttle that is linked to a relay to kill the charge signal

ive considered fitting a full throttle micro swith for a long time.

it will probably be worth it.

lets chuck this into the mix, what about lowering the alternator gearing, cos high revving engines make way more voltage on std pulleys, most of which is lost thru the regulator..... so lowering the pulley ratio should save hp too

tis a good point, but then of course you have a higher rotational mass.

Welsh Dan

Only if you fit a bigger alternator pulley does the mass go up. If you make a smaller crank pulley then there is less rotational mass.
