Well all, il be building a 2.0 8v engine usin a ecotec 16v block to raise compersion and a 20ne head and managemnt and i have two questions:
1. would i be able to use a high lift cam
2. with or without h/l cam what kinda of power would it make and would it benefit from a lightned flywheel?
Cheers,
Conor

Tbh the cam clearance would need to be checked in situ IMO, its an unusual combination of pistons etc & cyl head.

Power would be in the regions of a std NE IMO as thats what fuelling & ignition you will be working from. Likewise if a fast rd cam was fitted, you would benefit there also.
You might aswell use a whole 16v ecotec engine & play with exhaust manifold, headwork & cams on that. Both setups would benefit aftermarket standalone management, so that could be a direction for your project. (learning the ins & outs of ign, fuelling & mapping)
