hey guys i brought a c20xe engine box ecu etc and also got a rad with it

was just wondering would it fit? does it need a little bit of work or a lot

No. A 1.2 rad with a decent fan is fine.

You could go for a 1.6 etc rad, but not worth it unless you notice high temps.

running a 1.4 tigra rad on my xe with a slimline air con fan. rad is a tight fit but no overheating issues at all. cool running thermostat also a good idea. pic of my rad on this thread http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=140143. hope it helps

Fit a derv radiator :d

Lets clear up a few confusions about the radiators lol This is data from a radiator catalogue which details what engines were fitted with which rad. According to this, Vauxhall fitted the std 280x34mm to everything (except the 1.0) then changed to a smaller/thicker 230x34mm and retained the 280x22 for the 1.6's.

An Astra rad is fooooking huge and wont fit a nova without some mods to the slam/front panel

A friend years ago run his xe track car on a 1lt rad (one that stands on legs) with the std fan on the back. Never went over half way.
