Firstly welcome. Secondly bin the text talk. You will get mocked for it.
As for buying a Nova...£2000 would buy you a decent one. Depends what one though. Dont know your age so insrance will be tricky or nigh on impossible on SR's etc.

lol @ XE's being front heavy...
A 1600 would be a good start TBH. Have a play with it then if/when you get bored drop a 2ltr in. 22 with 4years NCB...have you got any quotes?

the only problem is there arnt many Nova owners about these days. if only there was a site dedicated to the humble little rot box where there were various engine/shell combinations with all sorts of opinions and expertise.
oh well...
Final warning re: text type.
£2k is a decent budget... spend the money on a decent shell. Engines/interior/bumpers are easy to swap out so you can fit whatever motor or trim you like afterwards.

see the text talk has stopped it took me a while too, as for 2k you could get something like this
http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1269849.htm
which would require the horrid bonnet and few other bits changing but looks very clean and easy to work with
dont buy a nova, make one lol, just buy any half decent nova off hear or egay, then start a project thread, then voila, another three year ongoing nova project is born.... another thing mate, being a newbie like yourself ive picked up a few tips to help you use this site:
read all rules before posting a word
remember all rules before posting a word
imagine you are back at school in an english lesson because these lot are worse than any teacher you have come across, you have to spell everything correctly and punctuate where necessary or your just going to get the ar5e with all their moaninglol
