6x9's and Sub

OK you probably get this a lot but...

I am running a pair of JBL 6x9's in my car and nothing else. I was planning on getting a 400w 4chan amp and running the 6x9's from it as well as the amp from bridged outputs. However loads of people keep saying don't have the two together as they mess up the sound... is this true? I was then gonna replace the dash speakers with some nice 10cm ones and then some mids in the doors... J

yea, id get some decent componments upfront first, then get the amp, then sell the 6x9s and get a sub in a box, or of course with the right boot build you can seperate the speakers from the subs air space. You CAN run the 6x9s with the sub, but doesnt sound very good when turned up loud.

run your fronts speakers and rear speakers from the head and use an amp to power the sub.
