Just looked in Haynes:

Black/red in the first pic is ign > starter
Blue/White is alternator > charge light (dash)

Black and Brown/White are the fan wires

Not sure about the plug... the large black wire looks like some kind of earth?

Is that plug not the brake reservoir cap warning sensor?

large black wire goes to the same point as the large red one behind it, however on my engine it's just the black wire there, i don't know why you've got a live on the block...

Also in the bundle, solid blue is coolant temp, red/black is fuel pump, blue/white is to alt, blue/yellow, blue/green is oil pressure, not sure on yellow and brown, could be EML... this is all from memory though, if you have a look at the old project thread in my sig, somewhere around the point I did the wiring should be a link to a thread in electrical and all the problems I had with it, might find it all there :thumb:

re reading what i put, red/black is starter, not fuel pump, pump is red and blue usually.

^ as CG says, that could be the plug. Can you pull the cable cover back a bit and see the wire colours? Should be brown and red/brown if so...
