Hi-Is the cylindrical type coil used on 1.4 carb sr's a special coil to suit the module or distributor??I've had terrible trouble trying to get my engine to run-fire but not start,if it did start the plugs would soot up.I thought it was fuel related but swapped the whole ign system for an inj setup I had(ecu,3 pin dist and block coil) and it fired and ran no problem.I want to use the sr setup though so I want to try another coil first-I have old,good coils that I previously used on points ign on other cars-is the coil a direct swap? I don't want to damage either the module or distributor.My guess is that theres a poor spark-cap is new,rotor ok,ht leads ok.Any one any suggestions?? Thanks
