ive been tinkering with the idea of getting a bike on the road, i love my toyslol and was wondering what steps i have to take to get legit. I understand that firstly i must take the cbt exam which i believe is the first step (moped license) then i take it there is another test for uptp 250cc??? i have been riding off road for years so would like an off road type bike on the road if you have any ideas, ive been looking at the husky wr250 and a few KTM's, so something similar:thumb:

do cbt
do bike theory
do bike test
simplez
although you will need a bike under 33hp
or a bike restricted to 33hp for first 2years iirc

cbt round here is like £50, dont know if its the same everywere.
you can ride a moped 50cc until you do the other test so you can drive anything higher than a 50cc, and also you will be allowed to carry passengers.

If you're 21 or over, do your direct access. Includes cbt, lessons and final test, allows you to drive anything. Looking around £500 ish all in. Need your theory seperate though, and need that first.

cbt here is about 90 quid, which included bike hire and all gear.

theory just like a car.

and yeh as above:
under 21 (like i was) do test and have a bike restricted to 33bhp
over 21 do the test on a bigger bike and ride anything straight away.

and having a bike is so much fun. cheap thrills all day long.
