View Full Version : Nova 1.4 16v Rally Car. TB's & SCCR box

I am posting this ad for a friend of mine, this is his highly competitive 1400 16v rally car. I will try and list as much info as poss but please contact me if any other info is required.

Engine: X14XE 1400 16v engine with a lightened & balanced bottom end. Cylinder head lightly ported & polished with one piece valves & double valve springs. Vernier pulleys, throttle bodies & Omex management. Engine is putting out 140bhp, 200 lb ft torque and revs to 7,200 rpm.

Transmission: Harry Hockley F13 straight cut, close ratio box with 4.5 straight cut CWP. Gripper plate diff & internal shifter.

Suspension: Bilstein 2 1/4 front coilovers(Remotely adjustable) with 250lb springs. Rear Bilsteins with Harry Hocklet Springs. Rose jointed front tie bar brackets & Uniball ball joints. Strut brace front & rear(Part of cage).

Brakes: 16v front brakes & Golf disc braked rear axle. Hydraulic fly off handbrake & aeroquipped lines. Bias pedal box.

Interior: Motordrive bucket seats & Sabelt harnesses. Co-drivers alloy footrest. Plumbed in extiguisher. Fuses & relays located to centre console. Elliot rev counter & additional guages.

Shell: Solid straight shell(Undamaged just minor cosmetic marks) strengthened. Fiberglass bonnet & boot. Fiberglass skinned doors. Polycarb windows all round with sliders. Full weld in multi point Safety Devices cage with triangulation to strut tops, rear X diagonal in rear with harness bars, X door bars & tagged to pillars. Dash bar behind dash which column is mounted to.

The car was going to be reused this year but due to a new baby it is reluctantly up for sale. It was not used last year but has been regularly run to ensure the engine is OK.

for anybody doubting the performance figures of this car, dont :mad: . i can vouch for them as i worked with the owner for several years not to mention serviced for him on events. it is a seriously quick car and alot of time and money went into developing it. its won more championships than i can remember and performed very well on btrda events. surely the start number on the car from the last event pays testiment to that car 16, when most entries are 90 cars plus and the top 20 - 25 are normally 4wd turbos.
