where can i get an uprated sump gasket?

Chris Astleys werent "uprated"
They were just std ecotec/2.0 8v gaskets.
Anyone that sells sump gaskets will be able sell you one.


Remember fit shorter bolts or use a few washers to shorten the threads

mine has the sump baffle do i use 2 of the x20xev gaskets still? or do i do away with the baffle? thanks

The standard xe has gasket/baffle/gasket (in seperate parts)

The eco one has a baffle plate with rubber gaskets bonded to it already

Can get 'em off eBay, LMF, etc. Usually £20-30 from what I've seen.

i stopped telling that, got tired of repeating myself every 2 days.

yeah i know people were telling me to get a x20xev gasket and people were telling me to use 8v bolts but when i asked where i can get these from or what do i ask for and nobody told me.

just ring a decent motor factors and ask them to get you one..........this internet parts thing is nowhere near as good as people think

im just unsure what to ask for is it for a vectra sri? i use to have a vectra sri140 if i give them my old reg will they give me the right gasket? thanks

basically by talking to a decent parts man, you tell him that it is a 2.0 16v in a nova & it came out of a vectra(or whatever) and he will look in a BOOK and sort it out...
