this my good mate nova(biker boi is his user name on here) . we just put a new c20xe in it as the old one give up the go:( . it also got a new seat's and door cards plus he got the bumpers painted of one our mates.

Lol it started life as an sxi looks a tad different now, I did have some pics of it but they're on my other phone and all of his engine, which I think he prefers to keep hush for now, he is putting the engine back in soon, when you come to get some bits off me (as they're at his house) I'll persude him to show you it, bare in mind it needs a clean as its been in his garage for a while, cant wait for it to be back on the road, love that car.

hi all there been a small change to the car now. it got some new wheels on it. we did have problems tho. adam was running astra sport wheels befor with 195 50 15 tyers . and they ran ok not rubbing on any think. so we try to fit the new wheels that are of a tigra and have 195 45 15 tyers on them. and founed that they were rubbing on the bottom of the spax collover's :(. so i ask for a bit of help on here and got tolod to put spacers in. so a good look on egay turnd up a set of 2 at a £5 bargen and they made them fit just right.:) all so today we g3 the car and give it a good wax to. here some pic's

new parts i got today. x2 track rod ends, x2 bottom ball joints, water t-piece and a exhaust gasget. price came to £31. day off work tomoro so hopefully get them fitted.

update 8th April

hi biker boi did a little TLC to his nova the day before we went to York drag way.
1 painted the side skirts
2 polished (by me :d)
3 add some nice mud flap's
4 painted back drums
5 changed the back grab handle to ardon blue and the wiper arm beck to black
6 change the oil and oil filter as the engine shud be ran in by now :thumb:

that arch dose look wonky. the car was a rot box when i first got it and i took it upon myself to save it from the scrap yard in the sky. it was my first major engine conversion and paint job, did the best i could with limited resources and money. should of took longer preping the car before paint but once the paint had dried it was to late. :) i love all my cars imprefections just makes it MY NOVA. thanks all for comments

ok car is for up for tax, test and insurance renewal at the end of the month. managed to get the insurance down from £1500 down to £1062 with alot or ringing around. will be getting the insurance policy out but will have to SORN it because of lack of funds. i know it need a new c.v joint but will be checking it over for test on the weekend. i`m not looking forward to get the bus to work while i save up for tax and test. bad times!!!

ahh mate, I was in the same position not long ago
Insured and tested, but couldnt afford the tax and petrol lol
Isnt there anywhere secure that you can store it untill the money is right, saves you wasting money on insurance if it is not used on the road

yea got a garage that it will be in untill its on the road. i just want to keep the policy ongoing and it comes out direct debit so dont want to mess the dates up. will only be off the road a week, 2 weeks tops. until then it look like the bus for me :)

ok had a mad rush this weekend getting my car through its test ready to make it to pv show.the tax run out end of last month so was s.o.r.n. needed welding in 2 places on the floor. side light bulb. battery securing and petrol pipes securing ( tags were not there). me and danny s-p started at 9:45 and car was booked in for test at 11:00. five to 11 we still had bumper and wings off and no wheels on the front. :-) made it there and it passed with advisory on one tyre. taxed it at 6 this morning before going to work online (£112) so it was officially on the road agin. drove it to work and parked it on the forecourt. at 7 i got a shout and one of the lads i work with reversed a bus into the back of it ( i work in bus garage ). large dent in the rear boot lid. bent my bumper and iron into car. and rear end is pushed into the boot. will try and get pictures posted.

waiting to hear from company insurance seem as it was a works vehicle that bumped it. might get some shiny new parts out of them :). dont think it bent the legs.

ok insurance assesor came out and looked at my car last night. managed to sweet talk him out of writing it off. said he would give me a cash pay out and based his value on second hand parts. this is what he valued it as.
* tailgate/hatch = 70
* bumper = 75
*back panel = 90
*paint = 90
*labour = 250
total cash payout = £575
he said it would not be recorded on insurance. i will be looking for a tailgate and bumper soon!!!
