Well i dont know what the edition of my nova is, i have crappy Ski stickers on it but they were dealer stick on's.

when i looked on an insurence company website for a quote is said it was a "Base"
did one of them checks to see if the car has ever been stolen etc and it came up with this.
The vehicle G637YTL, a Vauxhall Nova S Std (3 Door Hatchback)

Anyone Help?:thumb:

SKI is a dealership edition mate to get rid of bodyshells - It'll be based on a Nova Base/S STD

Technically, there's no such thing as a Nova SKI

Sh!tter. In a word lol

Ignore dealer additions etc etc. Don't worry about it and add the parts you like then you make it what you want.

IMO, only SR and upwards are worth caring about when it comes to spec.

They take a base model Nova and add a spoiler, sunroof, colour coded mirrors, leccy windows or anything else like that and sell it on as another/new model

Nout to worry about - And as L14M says, SR upwards :thumb:

Well mines just a Nova base then, because the Ski edition add on's, i dont have,

e.g., Matt's Ski, has tinted rear windows, passenger side static mirror, snowplough bumper, both door pockets, door side mouldings etc,

I dont have any of that...

He added the passenger mirror - Also the snowplough front end was from the early Nova's up to E reg but you also get a NEW Mk1 Nova E reg with later front end

Aye Matt's Ski was just like yours IIRC, albeit with slightly different vinyl.

A dealer edition is sometimes lucky to get stickers and a different set of trims. It's a trick they have been pulling for years, and still works to this day.

You get people with all makes of car claiming to have special editions.

That being said, I think Matts Ski is amazing. It's mostly down to it being a slag white mk1 though I think. lol

What was the Mk2 version of the SKI ? Was it a Nova Scotia ?

Colour coded poverty spec bumpers and some GSi 3 spoke alloys ? Can anyone remember it

Probably based on a Nova Merit

Also a Nova Spin/Expression/Fun/Life/Trip etc are all the same

My ski is a Mk1, but it dont have any of the add on like matts, i have the wrap around spoiler, the Ski stickers on the passenger door, drivers door and boot lid, and the guy ski'ing on that boot lid and bonnet.

Maybe an early Mk1 base model and late Mk1 base model are different and therefore have different bits - I know the base model Mk1's didn't have side rub strips as my Mk1 1.0 S STD doesn't have them

FFS Matts was a boggo white mk1 the same as yours. If anything I bet he had less 'toys' as it's an older car. All of the nice bits he has now were added by him.

Unless it came standard on MO's lol

lol As with all 'base' model Nova's - Make them into whatever you want as they don't really have any significant value :)

True, but he wouldn't be bothered asking about rub strips and door pockets etc if he had a Sport lol

There all about the brown and Twin 40's :)

Yeeup. Unless it's a mk1.5-2 pre/post facelift factory prototype end of run shell.

I'll have to ask Matt Brown.

Well I know my Mk1 base model didn't come with rubstrips, it has these vinyl things like Adidas stripes down the side:

In reference to dealer special editions. Mine was a nova 'ace'. only available in n.i as far as i know but it was just to get rid of some spare shells lying about. Nothing special about them!!!
