Hi all im sure this has been covered before, Ive just fitted a set of SRI clocks in to my 1.2 and the fuel gauge is going mental! how do i go about sorting this? Cheers! :thumb:
ok, is the gauge reading high or low or flicking around???
high means there is a short circuit
low means there is no connection
flicking around means the gauge is tatered

Its throwing it right off the scale as high as it can possably go. were is the problem usually found? if i were to put my standard 3 dial clocks in it would be fine.
This is pretty common when changing clocks, some seem to work & some do not, You have to solder a resistor to the back of the fuel gauge. I friend of mine did this for me.

Get another set of clocks mate, it done it with me with 3 sets of clocks then I got a working set of TD clocks and used the diesel gauge out it for my petrol gauge in my GSi clocks
IIRC the sender is different on the SRi/GSi so the signal differs for the clocks.
