Right peeps I'd really like a carbon fibre bootlid for my GTE restoration, however as yet no one makes one. So I have contacted Performance Trim (http://www.performance-trim.com) about setting up a group buy to start manufacture of carbon fibre bootlids. Here is his email reply
We'd need a minimum of 5 carbon bootlids to be ordered. The prices are:
Fully carbon: £580 including vat
Standard carbon: £465 inc.
Fibreglass boots could be made, at £240 each, but these wouldn't count towards the group buy numbers
If the group-buy can generate 10 orders, we can offer a 10% discount on these prices.
As with the bonnets they make I'm sure they could make a race spec one??
Just to give you the lowdown, the options are:
5 people 10 people
Fully Carbon Fibre £580 - 15% = £493
Standard Carbon Fibre £465 - 15% = £395.25As above to carry out this group buy a minimum of 5 people are required, however if we can get 10 people we can get a 10% discount so....

On a side note for the Loon boys & girls Performance Trim would be more than happy to make a loon bootlid if we can get a group buy together to start manufacture minimum 5 people.
