Using standard gsi fuel pump to run my e16 its ment to hang off the rear chasie leg. can you mount it in engine bay or does it need to be close to the tank for some reason
cheers stevie

wont work in bay as the standard pumps push the fuel and not too good at sucking in simple terms :)

Im in the same position, Have a gsi tank etc, just mount it in the correct place, as the fuel falls into the pump, and is then pumped, but in theory, once primed it should suck, to replace what it sends

hi Matt :D

in therory yes in practice not so much, there are many threads on this subject with swirl pots etc etc on the rally forums, best to just leave it in the place it was designed for :)

Even with front mounted pumps, there is a secondary pump in the back to supply the fuel :)
