Chips.....nah!

In preparation for it's up coming MOT the little GSi has had some much needed "work" done today. As it wasn't going to pass as it was.

Excellent service as i only rang to arrange this on Wednesday.

I moved the Nova to infront of the garage, then a nice friendly Mr got to work.

He wasn't the happiest of bunnies when he realised it WAS the original screen, as it's slightly more work to split the seal.....then.

Once the replacement was in, a quick polish and.....

The Auto Windscreen chap also then did me the favour of removing the stickers that were on the old screen (including an MOT reminder from 2006)

Which with the aid of an Alcohol wipe went back in with no problems.

I really should stop using my mobile to take pics of her, as they always come out pinkish, when it's really red.

The original screen had a pair of stone chips directly in your line of vision.
Over the last couple of months they'd developed into a crack, which was bigger than the size allowed.
So it had to have a replacement windscreen.

my nova has no stone chips in, and its still the original windscreen.

how has this happened lol. as people are always getting chips.

Do they use a new seal or did he re-use the old one?

If the old one was past it's best, then he would have replaced it.

However, there was no need too. It looked as good as new.

I need to have a chip in my tigra windscreen sorted. If it cracks before i can get it sorted the windscreens are worse than novas and its not long had a new one!

Did you request a toptint? Some dont fit them even if they came from factory with.

I requested nothing specific, just needed it replacing.

When i made the initial call, i was asked if it had a top tint and what colour the glass was tinted. Top service.
