Check out the photos of how this shell has been prepared in the engine bay;

I've never seen one done like that before, an excellent idea I think.
looks different, probably works well too.

Deffinatly a good idea. Does look like it would hold a lot better. Good for the track not so much for a show car. But deffinatly one for thinking of doing to one. Expecially that bottom one under the steering rack. if i take the engine out again i will consider putting one in

imo that is not at the heart of the problem, the problem is with the cross member moving not the chassis rails :(

3 wheel-ed action ready
Still overkill for a track car IMO, but for jumping over hump bridges and the like on road rallys and dirt tracks, all the more's the better

i dont think its that bad, if the shell is mint and prepped to a high standard i think its a fair price, i probbly would have said about 1000-1200 ideally.:thumb:
Agreed. Well worth the money if its all been done. Theres loads of work gone into that.
I can just see that bar going across the rear of the engine bay coming into the cabin in a high speed crash.
The engine has its own little roll cage! :D
im really really really not convinced at all about that
I gotta say that same^ can see it being stiffer. But cant see that it will stop the seams comming apart.
Then again i've never seen seams come apart even on rusty sh*tters that have been abused.

dont think you would get an xe/let in there either i think the inlet would foul that bar
