2.0 8v external feul pump

hi people iv just got a mk1 nova wiv a 2.0 8v in her and usein a external feul pump and for sum strange reason keeps cuttin out:confused:. what things should i check for or wat pump would i be better off buyin?? thanks

what cuts out? engine or pump?

wheres the pump mounted?

pump is at the back right hand side next to the spare wheel well. its sorted now took the wires off cleaned the points and it seems ok at the moment but will still get a new one to be safe.
