Are Nova Gsi and SR driveshafts the same dimensions?

Im currently running Sr driveshafts, but I've been advised to get some Gsi ones. I need to know if there the same dimension so that I can go to Vauxhall with the part number. Last time I went to my local vauxhall for a replacement part, they were asking for my Engine number before they sold me one. I can understand, different engines have different dimensions, but all I wanted was a new pipe that went from the radiator to the water bottle :s

Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thx in advance,

Jim

why change them.... nothing to be gained....

with the cvs on they are the same end to end.... the outers are the same on all models

agreed.

if however you do things like 2ltr conversions, using nova shafts and outer cav CVs, then you may face a problem as the inner splines, there is TWO types of nova gte shafts, and its pot luck which ones you have.

i know you werent asking this, but i just thought id state that there are two types of nova gte shaft

as ste says though as a complete unit there no different, just when u brake them up to use different CVs
