as with any throttle bodied set up your going really need aftermarket ecu and an upgrade of cams always brings the best out of them

thoughts on these? Very expensive for what they are. Regal were the only UK distributors but they seem to no longer stock them for the Corsa.

The bit your on about is just the inlet manifold the original picture I posted (the red ones) are proper throttle bodies similar to Jenveys.

the ones i posted are inlet tbs and inlet box which i thought was needed to run the std managment as you need the air flow meter

not a fan to be fair direct to head are much better and the standard management will be a massive restriction

well i can get these used for £400. just not sure if i should save my money or not

will be better than the std inlet

What are you saving up for instead though?

You could get some second/third hand Jenveys for £700.

well i im the middle of builing my engine and saving for my forged pistons as i already have the rods , but the bodies popped up and i thought that they were a good price and that would benefit from them but id still have to save for my pistons.

im using the powerbox setup at the mo but will be gettin throttle bodies at a later date was the plan....

just not sure if i should wait to get some 2nd hand jenvey's and get my pistons 1st as i can still drive the car on the setup im running at the mo and the bottom end will be completely forged

id go for the pistons and get proper bodies when funds allow if you have a box already there will be little difference with these imo

Jenvey quote 50 bhp with their direct to head throttle bodies and an exhaust system iirc.

any ideas how much for a complete jenvey kit with management?

or any links?

Management is going to be about £500 plus around £3-400 for full mapping. A full TB setup is in the region of £1000-1200 by the time you add in manifold, fuel regs, etc throttle linkage from Jenvey is near £135!

May have been answered but that Dbilas is just an inlet. Can get others, which may be out of production now, like Lexmaul and Mantzel. 22bhp comes to mind anyway.

Some people make them on forums for like £150 too, but may be pony

bit pricey for what they are. altho they cant be that bad, this calibra made good power with them on a std turbo

i had that same problem as you mate but have now opted for jenveys and management.
ive been shopping around and have got everything for under 1000.
im going for a pair of jenveys from sbd, there fuel rail.
air horns from ebay atm £50 for 90mm carbon fibre ones. 10 quid cheaper then sbd metal 45mm ones.
inlet i found on ebay which was lucky but avalible from sbd for about 100.
im gonna have a pop with megasquirt which ive got fully built with base map for 300 quid.
so if i was you save abit longer and get jenveys.

I always forget something, not like a mappable ECU is needed or anything, ya know? lol

Those tb's on a standard x16xe are ****e.
They sound nice but i guarantee the car will overall feel slower, because just when the engine starts livening up, you hit the rev limiter!

You need proper management and about 7+k rpm to see good all round gains.

Id have a mantzel box over those tb's anyday if you are keeping the engine/ecu standard. Rob_lee fitted those bodies to his nova, it made more PEAK power but did slower times down the 1/4!
