My 3GS won't find my home network. The ISP is Sky. It won't even work typing it in manually. Yet the Will can find the network fine.

Any ideas? :confused:

maybe the wifi is kapoot on the phone?

yeah happened to mine, just took it into carphone warehouse (where it was bought) and boom, brand new iphone :)

BTW I jailbroke it - as I assume most have.

I'm gonna wipe it now and see what it's like.

1. Reset your hub at home.

2. Second try clearing your history, cookies and cache in: settings/safari.

3. If that don't work the try:settings/general/reset/reset network settings.

4. If that doesn't work then finally try doing a restore in itunes.

5. Back to the shop as you'll have 12 warranty :thumb:

EDIT: ive never jail broke any of my 3 iphones for this very reason, also it can knacker your warranty.

mine isnt jailbroken, dont see the point in voiding my warrently, and yea my wifi connection was poo from start, its only when i got bored and realised nothing was coming up, so went carphonewarehouse, and a week later apple sent me a new one as it was a faulty 'thingymabob' they did tell me what it was but i cant remember lol

Maybe I should have checked it could find networks before jailbreaking it lol.

Southie, I've just done a hard reset. None of your other ideas applied to me as it has never connected to wi-fi.

If it doesn't connect with the jailbreak wiped off then I'm going to the shop lol. Can they tell if has been jailbroken and then put back standard?

OK...it finds my network when it is back to standard.

As said I don't know about the jail broken phones. Just take it in and see what happens. Expensive door wedge though :roll:

All the more reason for me to keep using it then :d
