if you have a sub you dont really need any 6/9's, get yourself a good set of component speakers. :)

I dont think alot of people understand the wattage on speakers.

More like 75 -125 watts RMS

All depends on battery power doesnt it & what amp your running?

im rocking some 30 watt 6x9's in my wagon, probably rated as 600 watt in those dodgy magazines lol

best of like annie says mate, sell the 6x9's for a set of good components, run them up front with the sub in the boot, youll get a nice blend of treble, mid and bass that way. if your sub doesnt have a built in jobby, youll need an amp and wiring kit to power it too. :thumb:

ditch the 6x9"s, comps up front, loose one of the subs and have one amp on 1 sub and the other running to front comps!

I bet you fine it hard to out drag a mobility scooter with 2x subs in the boot.

so shall i just change the standard two front speakers and run them off the stereo and leave it at that with the sub n amp?

ive fitted 6x9's into my saloon shelf,
really easy, first you have to route 4 wires
down to rear from the back of the headunit
then remove the top cardboardy
layer on the shelf, mark out the holes needed
for the 6x9's and use a jigsaw to cut the holes,
then put the carboardy thing back on and mark the carboard from the underneath and jigsaw that aswell,
then simply wack the 6x9 in and drill holes for the bolts (mine are bolted in)
Can get pictures if you need them mate

As there is no point running standard speakers with any sub as the sub
will drain out any vocals you have, and i would change my front speakers but i have a mk1 dash and cba to take it out lol

i would up rate the dash speakers and put some comps in doors
and in the back and run them of amp and get your sen a better sub some think with abit more rms. i have a 1200watts RMS sub and its sound 100x beter then my mate 2 12" sony subs

^ surely binning the dash speakers is much better then running comps in the doors.

Imo I say buy the best componets you can afford and do some builds like these for the doors

Any speakers that are behind you are a total waste of time in my opinion. Totally funks up the sound staging!! Apart from subs in boot obviously.
